Image
Crystal Grids The Basics &  Getting Started I'm very excited to be writing this blog post today because it was recommended by a friend. Crystal grids can feel intimidating at first I know thats how I felt. So I am going to break it down for you to help you get started, let's begin... What is a crystal grid? An arrangement of crystals in a symmetrical mandala like pattern to aid in amplifying their healing properties and manifest your intentions. What can I pace my crystal grid on? A common misconception is that the platform you place your crystal grid on  is  the crystal grid. You can place your crystal grid on any flat surface. This can be a slice of wood, metal plate, glass plate or on tapestry. Your arrangement and intentions are whats most important. What do I arrange my crystals? Begin at a center point in your grid and arrange in a symmetrical pattern clockwise working your way around the grid. It might look like a f...

Aquatic Animal Totems, Dolphin totem/guide/power animal

Image
Do you have an aquatic animal totem/guide? How does the ocean or water make you feel? There has always been a part of me that is drawn to the water. It is something I cannot entirely explain. Since I was a young girl my dreams were filled with moments of tranquility drifting into the darkness of the depths of the ocean. The water surrounding my body and carrying me through the waves. The unknown...the spark of life and the renewal that water offers us is so beautiful. Life came from the ocean and it embodies the very aspects of renewal and rebirth. There has been two distinctive aquatic totems in my life the dolphin and the duck/goose. Did you miss my entry on ducks? check it out here: http://candaleriaconfesses.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-great-work-3.html What is an aquatic animal totem/guide? The Great Work #10

How do you experience your higher self? It has been through my art!  This year, from day 1, which started out as an endless roller coaster, had me feeling lost and unhappy. I hadn't been or felt myself in years. Reflecting upon this I thought,  "When did I  loose myself and how can I experience my higher self again?" That question is extremely complex... But the goal was to find out who I am again! When I think about who I am I have always considered myself an artist with the gift of intuitive power and astral abilities that I was always too afraid to express.  So I stopped everything that was holding me back and started expressing myself again through art.  One thing I realized this morning was that I have never felt more connected with my higher self than I do right now! When I think about what has ignited that fire I have to say its the connection I feel when creating my artwork, but in particular its when I create "El Ojo d...

El Ojo De Dios

Image
History of "el ojo de dios" Originating in the Americas these "God's eyes" as protection charms and a talisman of, the better known , third eye. A powerful symbol of understanding unseen things. Huichol indians created these woven pieces of art to put on their alters. A traditional "God's eye" has 4 points representing the 4 elements, earth, fire, and water. To weave a "God's eye" one is putting their own energy and prayers to create a physical object to forever be a representation these intentions. They are often used to protect children. They can be given as gifts either at birth, a baptism, or birthday. I found a great link to the history of "el ojo de dios" and a how to on okhistory.org, what a coincidence :) http://www.okhistory.org/kids/printables/godseye.pdf Heres my mobile! Made to order, just email me! :)

Dreamcatcher Smudging

Image
How to I cleanse my dreamcatchers? Here is my personal collection of dreamcatchers Bellica Rose loves my smudge stick Where I bought my smudge stick! THE best shop on Olvera St. to buy anything from smudge sticks to candles, you name it! My little sister amazed at the selection, it was her first time down Olvera St. (side note not all Californians visit all the "main" attractions, there are places we haven't even been🤣)   Isn't this candle too cool! I love to keep my dreamcatchers cleansed and pure! Smudging helps detoxify the dreamcatchers from any bad, evil spirits or dreams that might get caught in them. I am clairsentient so even being in the near room I can have the same nightmares or dreams they are having. Which is why I have so many dreamcatchers!

Dreamcatcher History

Image
Dreamcatcher History Description:  Traditionally made from a willow hoop and found materials such as feathers. A dreamcatcher is a protection charm known for catching the bad dreams and allowing the good dreams to flow down into the dreams of the sleeper.  History: Dreamcatcher history originated within the Objiwa and Lakota cultures. In the Lakota culture it is said that the great teacher Iktomi appeared to the village elder as a spider upon a mountaintop. Iktomi explained to the elder about the cycle of life while spinning his web upon a willow hoop. He said if you believe in the Great Spirit the hoop will allow good dreams to flow through the web and bad dreams to be caught. Allowing his people to seek wisdom and protection from this hoop, known as a dreamcatcher. In the Objiwa culture dreamcatchers were predominantly used for infants for protection. How To Make A Tassel

Image
DIY DAY How To Make A Tassel I'll be showing you guys how I made these tassels. I am currently making them in preparation for my next project! Step One: You will need some supplies but also a flat object to assist with making the tassel. Supplies: yarn, flat object, scissors  I took the plastic cover off of my planner, it works so much better than cardboard. We will be wrapping the yarn around the cover. I leave a little yarn at the bottom so it won't unravel as I wrap it. I used the holes as a grid to measure how wide to make the tassel. I choose 3 notches I cut a piece of yarn at 11 notches, this will be the tassels topper Then I cut a piece of yarn at 4x's the length of the cover, this will be to wrap the tassel Use the small piece of yarn to pull under tassel At the very bottom cut the tassel off the cover Tie a knot very tight at the top of the tassel keeping both sides even. Starting from th...

The Great Work #8

Image
Live A Life You're Not Ashamed Of What thoughts or experiences still bring up shame for you? To sum it up for this question I would have to answer it by saying, I am ashamed of how much approval I needed from other people to make decisions in my life. Or how much approval I needed to be happy. I naturally care about other people, but then it often got me sucked into their negativity. Also naturally being a people pleaser, if they weren't happy I would take it upon myself to make sure they were. Sacrificing my own happiness. Then one day, during my journey through The Great Work, I woke up! I asked myself, what do I want, what makes me happy? One tip that finally stuck in my head, 7 years later something my husband told me when we were younger, stop caring what other people think, say, or do! Thats what I am most ashamed of, not listening to him after all this time... He was already living the most fundamental part of a happy life, not caring what others have ...

How I Stopped Biting My Nails!

Image
Stop Biting Your Nails Today! For me it was far worse than just biting my nails, it was my cuticles as well. I mean to the point I would bleed and i still wouldn't even be able to stop picking. It obviously was due to my stress and anxiety but, how did I stop? First Step: Eliminate what stresses you, what triggers your anxiety. Also 7 years of visual merchandising really took a toll on my hands! Second Step: Start taking care of yourself! I found products that motivated me to not bite my nails. I also swear by these products. I like to make my own beauty products, but if I am going to buy anything it would be these products. Burt's Bee's- Almond & Milk Hand Cream Burt's Bee's- Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream Sally Hansen- Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthener  Revlon- Nail Filer Step Three: Develop a system. For me, when I had the urge to bite my nails I would moisturize my hands. Without flaky skin, hangnails or cuticles lifting I wouldn...
