The Great Work
What is your comfort level with expressing yourself through writing?

I am not a very verbal person, so writing is also something I don't do much of. Since reading The Great Work I have been focusing on expressing myself through writing with this blog. I am still not comfortable but I hope to inspire others to reach out side their own comfort levels. I express myself through more artistic mediums.

El Ojo De Dios

History of "el ojo de dios" Originating in the Americas these "God's eyes" as protection charms and a talisman of, the better known , third eye. A powerful symbol of understanding unseen things. Huichol indians created these woven pieces of art to put on their alters. A traditional "God's eye" has 4 points representing the 4 elements, earth, fire, and water. To weave a "God's eye" one is putting their own energy and prayers to create a physical object to forever be a representation these intentions. They are often used to protect children. They can be given as gifts either at birth, a baptism, or birthday. Hi everyone, Im so excited to launch my blog today! I am dedicating this post to dreamcatchers. I will go over the steps i take to make one. this one happens to be for my sister-in-law I hope you all enjoy! Gather your supplies... For this dream catcher: foam wreath circle   yarn and ribbon  Step 1: wrap the circle with chosen yarn, I choose a heathered burgundy yarn   Make a knot anywhere on the circle, this will be the top! Continue to wrap the circle to the right keeping the yarn tight as you wrap. When you come back to the top leave a bit of tail so you can use this piece to hang your dream catcher.
